About Accessibility Business

With over 30 years of experience Magnus is one of Sweden's leading specialists in social sustainibility for business.

My name is Magnus Berglund, and I am the founder of Accessibility Business.
I have worked in the hospitality industry for more than thirty years. Since 2003, I have worked with accessibility within the social sustainability business area. The work spanned a wide field where the issue of accessibility would become relevant and high on the agenda.
We built a unique standard where all hotels were given a unique profile on their websites with relevant information for guests.

For spreading the mindset throughout theorganization, we produced an internationally acclaimed training for all employees within the chain, (World Responsible Tourism Awards 2015) – accessibility must permeate all operations.

Today I work as a consultant in accessibility and offer advice on most things related to accessibility, because there is still a lot to do.
I help companies and organisations adapt their operations to all guests — for those with some form of functional variation but also for an increasingly elderly population. Of course, we want to be able to travel and experience things even when we are older and it doesn't have to be difficult.

I know how we can get there!

Advisor

We help you go from words to action. Together, we make accessibility a part of the business. We highlight challenges that exist but also existing opportunities to get more satisfied guests and employees and increase the number of visits.

Education and programme

By understanding your area of operation, we can find out what accessibility means for you.

  • What does your target group look like and what kind of disabilities might they have?
  • What proportion of the population has some forms of functional variation today and how do we treat our guests?
  • How can we provide the best possible service?
  • What can we do to get more satisfied guests, visitors and employees?
All information is important in a training tailored specifically to your employees and business. The training is adapted to your specific departments, for example reception, restaurant and the sales department. The training material can also be provided in digital formats to use when on-boarding employees and/or on your intranet.

Action plan for your business

We help you review your business from a disability perspective and draw up an action plan.

Examples of concrete measures can then be an accessibility standard for your business, with customised information on the website, training and support to ensure more inclusive recruitment.

International speaker
